Three MiFi - T3 Work Gadget of the Year

Three's MiFi took home 'Best Work Gadget of the Year' at last night's T3 Gadget Awards 2010. More than 750,000 people voted in 19 categories, in which Three’s MiFi outshone Apple Macbook Pro, Blackberry Bold 9700 and the iPhone 4 for the Best Work Gadget category.

Three’s MiFi creates a personal Wi-Fi hotspot over Three’s 3G network while on the go and can connect up to five Wi-Fi enabled devices at any one time.

Three Mobile Broadband product manager Matt Halfin said, "We were extremely pleased be nominated among high profile names, let alonewin the T3 Award. The MiFi is a very successful and essential every day gadget, allowing our customers to make the most out of their Wi-Fi enabled devices. Data accounts for 97% of traffic on the Three network, which is why we’ve invested heavily in our network this past year to create the UK’s biggest 3G network and allow our customers to have a fast and reliable internet experience.”

According to T3, “a typically savvy move from this increasingly influential mobile telecoms and internet provider - the MiFi has proved a sensation.”

This award for Three follows four mobile broadband wins last month, including Best Value Mobile Award in the Top10.com Mobile Broadband Awards and Best Overall Mobile Broadband Provider, Best for Coverage and Best Laptop Bundle in Broadband Expert’s 2010 Mobile Broadband Awards. Three has also recently been voted the best network for mobile broadband in the UK by customers in YouGov's latest survey.
