Having very nearly secured a Championship win in its launch year, the new Team Green tarmac racing initiative has been judged a resounding success.

Thanks to the efforts of the Team Green supported rider Danny Buchan - who will be among riders appearing on the Kawasaki stand during the Carole Nash Motorcycle Live event later this month - the winner's silverware very nearly ended up in the trophy cabinet of the talented 17 year old Basildon rider at his first attempt.

Adding a dash of colour to the Junior Superstock paddock in 2010, the three selected Team Green rookies impressed all with their dedicated and professional approach on their lime green Ninja ZX-6R race machines. Most agreed there could be no better vindication of Kawasaki's decision to create a manufacturer backed support package in what is recognised as being the proving ground for future Supersport and Superbike Champions.

Increasing their efforts in the coming season, Kawasaki Motors UK will also be targeting the hugely popular National Superstock class for 2011 offering the same sort of machine and peripheral support structure as witnessed in the Junior Superstock arena, as Racing Coordinator for KMUK, Ross Burridge explains:

"Danny and the other Team Green riders have done a superb job this year and, but for an excursion onto the grass in the last race, the Championship could have been Danny's on his Ninja ZX-6R.

With unprecedented interest in the new 2011 Ninja ZX-10R, it seems only right to build on the huge initial success of the Team Green tarmac racing concept and start to encourage and support talent in the National Superstock class too.

There's no question that there will be a considerable number of applications for our Team Green rides next year. I would certainly encourage any rider who thinks they have what it takes to represent Kawasaki and Team Green to contact either myself or Nick Morgan of MSS Colchester Kawasaki at their earliest opportunity. We can't promise everyone a ride, but we can promise an enviable support package for those that succeed and become our official Team Green riders for 2011".
