A new concept in dining is coming to the Capital: Sing for your Supper. Diners at Zizzi’s newest London restaurant who get up and sing in front of the restaurant audience will get their supper for free, and raise money for youth charity The Prince’s Trust in the process.

Money raised for The Trust will give disadvantaged young people the confidence and skills to find a job.

Launched in support of The Prince’s Trust, Zizzi’s first venture into music - the Zizzi Sessions - will be hosted each Thursday evening from 2nd December – 30th December by Grammy nominated singer and saxophonist, Becki Biggins.

Becki will perform modern takes on jazz classics accompanied by The Malcolm Edmonstone Trio. Each week Becki will also introduce diners to up and coming diverse musicians and invite them to sing for their supper, literally. Diners who get up and perform will be rewarded with a free main meal; Zizzi will also donate the price of the dish to The Prince’s Trust. Furthermore, throughout December, any diners seated on the Chef’s Table at Zizzi St Giles will have the cost of their meal donated to the youth charity.

Guest performers at the Zizzi Sessions include singer, songwriter and guitarist, Nell Ryder; songstress Lily Osborne who has recently worked as a session singer for top writer/producer Guy Chambers; award winning vocalist Sarah Ellen Hughes and folk/rock singer Michael Lucas. All donations on the evening will go directly to the charity.

Zizzi’s partnership with The Prince’s Trust is a natural extension of its Fresh Talent initiative, which seeks to give up-and-coming creative talent a platform for their work. Helen Jones, Managing Director, Zizzi commented: “Zizzi has already worked with some brilliant illustrators and designers, showcasing music feels like a natural next step, especially considering the musical influences of the St Giles area. Recognising how hard it can be for young people to get a break now, we see our role as a provider of both a platform for talent, as well as opportunities through our partnership with The Prince’s Trust.”

Martina Milburn, Chief Executive, The Prince’s Trust said: “Thousands of vulnerable young people in Britain are struggling to overcome unemployment and poverty. We’re thrilled to work with Zizzi to give these youngsters the self-belief they need to transform their lives. Just £3 can provide two weeks’ support for a vulnerable young person, helping them find their first job”.

Zizzi Sessions will run every Thursday evening, 2nd December – 30th December from 7pm at: Zizzi Central St Giles, 8 Central St Giles Plaza, London, WC2H 8LA
Nearest Tube: Tottenham Court Road
