easyJet increases capacity for summer 2011

easyJet today published its summer 2011 flying programme which shows an increase in capacity of 13% compared to services operated in summer 2010.

easyJet, the UK’s largest airline, is increasing frequency to popular destinations and launching new routes in the UK and across its operations within Europe.

Commenting on the announcement Carolyn McCall, easyJet’s Chief Executive, said: “Our summer 2011 schedule is our biggest ever and will strengthen easyJet’s network still further by adding additional frequencies on our most popular routes and launching new services to attractive destinations. easyJet’s success is built on offering both leisure and business passengers the best value fares at the most convenient times to the most convenient airports.”

The announcement means that easyJet will be operating 551 routes between 129 airports across 30 countries this year. In total easyJet will fly 40.64 million seats in the summer 2011 season up from 35.97 million the previous year.
