easyJet has announced six new routes from London Gatwick in 2011 to Amman in Jordan, Izmir in Turkey, Verona and Bologna in Italy, Seville in Spain and Aberdeen in Scotland.

Flights are on sale now from as little as £29.99 (one way, including taxes) and the routes will begin operating from March 2011. These new London routes will enable easyJet passengers, flying from London Gatwick, to choose from a staggering 92 different destinations.

The airline has also confirmed that it is increasing its fleet of aircraft at London Gatwick to 46 from Summer 2011. Passengers will benefit from increased flights to Madrid and Barcelona in Spain, Dusseldorf in Germany, Porto in Portugal and Amsterdam in the Netherlands.

The new routes coupled with the increased aircraft fleet will enable the airline to carry an additional 680,000 passengers to and from Gatwick per year.

Paul Simmons, UK Regional General Manager of easyJet, says: “We have come a long way since we launched our first daily Geneva service out of London Gatwick in December 1999. easyJet is committed to continuously adding new and exciting routes, as well as making existing routes even more attractive to our passengers by increasing our frequency.

“We continue to stay true to our roots by offering a quality network with a wide variety of choice at unbeatable prices.”
