A familiar sight in UK paddocks, the respected Sondel Team are the latest National Superstock entrants to announce Kawasaki machinery as their preferred choice for the 2011 racing season.

Recognising the potential of the already highly acclaimed Ninja ZX-10R, the team features experienced Kawasaki rider, Steve Mercer alongside Jamie Perrin in what will be a hard fought and interesting production based championship.

With an additional interest in pure roads racing, the Ashby De La Zouch based team will also enter top American rider, Jeremy Toye in the Isle of Man, North West 200, Ulster and Macau Grand Prix's underpinning Toye's remarkable 3rd place at last year's far eastern event.

With a wide range of racing environments to compete in, team owner, John Weeden, maintains the new Ninja was an obvious choice: "Testing has already shown the massive potential of the ZX-10R which has produced amazing lap times in virtually standard form. Once modified to our specifications, we believe we have a podium chaser and potential winner on our hands".

Racing Coordinator for Kawasaki Motors UK, Ross Burridge, is understandably pleased with the latest in a growing number of teams adopting the Ninja as their weapon of choice declaring.

"It's great to welcome John and the Sondel team into the Kawasaki fold, we are sure they will enjoy success on track and at the pure roads circuits events with an inspired choice of riders and racing machinery".
