Scottish celebrity chef Nick Nairn opened a new, state-of-the-art kitchen showroom for Kitchens International on Great Western Road in Glasgow last month. The expansion of award-winning kitchen designers and retailers Kitchens International into Scotland's largest city shows there is demand for high quality, innovative kitchens in the west of Scotland.

The new showroom, in the heart of Glasgow's interiors district, offers customers sleek German Leicht kitchens and British-built Stoneham kitchens for the first time ever. With three stunning kitchen displays, showing large islands, grid shelving, inventive storage solutions and a range of worktops gives customers choice and inspiration when choosing a new kitchen.

Nick Nairn and his team showed how Kitchens International's kitchens can be used effectively and demonstrated some mouthwatering dishes and gave guests cooking tips and techniques.

As well as three full kitchen displays Kitchens International has Swizz V-Zug appliances, which are some of the sleekest and hi-tech kitchen appliances available. These sit alongside top of the range Gagganeau and Siemens appliances as well as Sub zero fridges and wine coolers. Worktops are by Silestone, Ecogranite and Corian while integrated Introm lighting and audio equipment demonstrates how the kitchen has become the hub of the home.

Paul O'Brien, Business Development Director of Kitchens International says: "Glasgow is a key market for us and until now we have serviced it from Edinburgh. However, there is an increasing demand for high quality design, coupled with contemporary, aspirational kitchens in the west of Scotland. Kitchens International has a broad product portfolio that will meet this demand.

"We recognise that this expansion is a brave move in these challenging times but since we opened our doors we have had many requests for designs and acknowledge that many people are refurbishing their kitchens rather than moving house. With the back-up support of an excellent design team and wide reaching installation crew we are offering the people of Glasgow first class kitchens at highly competitive prices right on their doorstep."
