easyJet had a landmark celebration this month when it flew its 30 millionth passenger through Belfast International Airport.

The lucky traveller, Tanya Kilfeather, was presented with a bottle of champagne and two flights to an easyJet destination of her choice.

easyJet commercial manager Ali Gayward made the presentation before the milestone achiever boarded her flight to Stansted.

Tanya is a key account manager with Brammer, a pan-European technical distribution company with a branch in Belfast.

She said: “I am a regular passenger with easyJet as I spend most of my working week with clients in England and Scotland.

“I have always found easyJet to be the best of the low-cost airlines, from convenient flight times to excellent customer service.

“It’s great to win the free flights and I’ll almost certainly use them in September for some Spanish sun via Alicante.”

easyJet’s first flight from Belfast International was to London Luton in September 1998.
New routes have been regularly added and the airline now flies to 21 domestic and European destinations from Belfast.

Ali Gayward said: “easyJet was the first airline to bring low-fares travel to Northern Ireland and our aim has always been to provide significant choice, flexibility and affordable travel to people across the region.

“We have undoubtedly been successful in achieving this and I would like to say a big thank-you to the travelling public who have made us Northern Ireland’s favourite airline.

“Our commitment will continue to Northern Ireland people, from business travellers to people going on short city breaks or longer holidays.”
