Teddington favourite Rétro Bistrot will be launching a new monthly Jazz night this May, with the inaugural event on May 31st. Owner Vincent Gerbeau is passionate about music and is delighted to have ‘The Jack Hurst Quartet’ performing classic jazz in the warm and relaxing atmosphere of the restaurant, to be accompanied by a selection of New Orelans-themed cocktails on the night.

The regular dinner menus, both à la carte and set, will be available too.

For the Jazz Night, Vincent and his team are looking to create the lively feel of a jazz ‘boite’ in the dining room, offering seating up close to the musicians. In the adjacent dining room, a more relaxed atmosphere will be created for diners, although they’ll also be able to enjoy the music.

The menus continue to reflect the classic, great value and predominantly French dishes that Rétro Bistrot has become known for, with late Spring dishes including Aubergines et Asperges Grillées, grilled aubergine and asparagus, poached duck egg, hollandaise sauce, and Salads de Crabe à la Grecque, crab salad with vegetables, carrot and ginger purée.

Vincent and his team pride themselves on their special attention to personal service and believe it is this that sets them apart from their competitors and helps create an ambience of warmth and luxury. The jazz evening will also mark the unveiling of a new collection of art on the walls – all of which is available for purchase.

The Jazz Evenings will be held monthly, with the second, June, date coinciding with the French ‘fête de la musique’. Looking ahead, June will also see the next gourmet dinner, this one focusing on Champagne.

114-116 High Street, Teddington, London, TW11 8JB
