Healthy eating menu at Cassis Bistro

29th June 2011 Print

Improving your diet and losing weight for summer has never been so enjoyable; now you can enjoy a healthy, nutrition packed lunch at Cassis Bistro.

Designed by the leading personal trainer, Matt Roberts, and Cassis' Head Chef David Escobar; the Matt Roberts menu is designed to make healthy eating a normal part of life and to turn eating out into a pleasurable experience without the need to feel guilty once you have finished.

The food is all calorie controlled so that each main course is less than 400 calories and a two course combination never exceeds 650 calories (excluding drinks).

"In constructing this menu we have kept bad fats to an absolute minimum whilst good fats are made available through the types of oils used and the fresh fish," explained David Escobar.

"On top of having good levels of protein in the meals we made sure that most meals contain an appropriate amount of low glycemic carbohydrates that release energy slowly over a long period of time, as well as good levels of fibre to help maintain healthy digestion and blood profiles. With the magic of the team at Cassis we were able to do this whilst still encapsulating the bold, fresh flavours of Provence" added Matt Roberts.
