Nissan will showcase its full range of electric vehicle capabilities, led by the X-TRAIL FCV 2005, at this year’s 22nd International Battery, Hybrid and Fuel Cell Electric Vehicle Symposium & Exposition or better known as EVS22. The EVS22 is the world’s largest international symposium dedicated to electric vehicles and technology, and is scheduled from October 23 through 28 at the Pacifico Yokohama.
Aston Martin Racing victorious at Laguna Seca
Aston Martin Racing finished first and fourth at the Monterey Sports Car Championships at Laguna Seca on Saturday 21 October. Pedro Lamy and Stephane Sarrazin taking the final victory of the 2006 American Le Mans Series in their Aston Martin DBR9, the team’s fifth win this year.

Toyota has announced the first details of the Auris, a new core model in its range that will play a key role in advancing its brand ambitions in Europe. Auris, which is designed and built in Europe, will join Yaris and Avensis in spearheading the company’s progress towards its newly-announced target of 1.2 million annual sales in Europe by 2008.

1895 Peugeot Vis-à-vis leads 2006 London to Brighton run
On Sunday 5th November, the 2006 London to Brighton Veteran Car Run (LBVCR) sees an 1895 Peugeot lead the historic run, this year celebrating its 110th anniversary. The Peugeot Vis-à-vis (as car No.1) is the only car of 1895 vintage, and one of 36 19th century vehicles. A total of 490 pre-1905 cars are participating, including 13 Peugeots.
