Eight classic Rolls-Royce Silver Ghosts dating back to the early part of the 20th Century will lead a new Rolls-Royce Phantom Extended Wheelbase at this year’s Lord Mayor’s Show. It will be the first time that this spectacular line-up will have been seen anywhere in the world.

Rolls-Royce has set a new target to recycle 75 per cent of all waste materials generated at its Goodwood facilities by the end of 2007. As part of the company’s commitment to sustainability, a new dedicated waste management centre has been set up at the manufacturing plant and head office to recycle all types of waste materials.

Water savings initiatives deliver results at Rolls-Royce

Significant water savings of over 13 per cent have been made at the Rolls-Royce Motor Cars manufacturing plant and head office at Goodwood. The introduction of new initiatives has resulted in an average saving of 11,000 litres per day for the entire site, equivalent to a hosepipe running continuously for 106 hours or 212,000 cups of tea.

Rolls-Royce joins MTV to fight HIV and AIDS

Rolls-Royce has joined with MTV to raise $25,000 for the Staying Alive Foundation, a global organisation dedicated to preventing the spread of HIV and AIDS. Rolls-Royce provided a new Phantom for last year’s MTV European Music Awards in Lisbon and invited artists to autograph the back seat. By the end of the event more than 20 major celebrities had signed.

Rolls-Royce Motor Cars this week welcomed Alan Titchmarsh to their environmentally friendly manufacturing plant and head office at Goodwood in Chichester. Filming a new TV series, ‘Nature of Britain’, the broadcaster and writer walked the eight acre (22,500 square metres) ‘living roof’ where a number of breeding pairs of skylarks are nesting.

Rolls-Royce expands worldwide dealer network

Rolls-Royce Motor Cars has recently expanded its worldwide dealer network reflecting the continued success of the Phantom and the forthcoming launch of the convertible model in 2007. There are now 74 Rolls-Royce dealers worldwide (up from 64 in 2003), representing 32 different countries. The most recent dealer openings have been in Oman, Pakistan and Denver, USA and a new showroom recently opened in Mumbai, India.

The Rolls-Royce Motor Cars award-winning manufacturing plant and head office at Goodwood was host to 70 vintage and classic cars which gathered on Saturday 29 April and raised £1,000 for charity. Members of the Rolls-Royce Enthusiasts’ Club, Central Southern & Surrey Sections assembled a spectacular range of cars in the main courtyard from a 1924 Rolls-Royce 20hp Tourer to a 2002 Corniche Convertible. The line-up was completed by two new Phantoms, recently built at the manufacturing plant.

Rolls-Royce Phantom cements market leadership in 2005

Another strong year of sales has confirmed the position of the Phantom as the world’s leading super-luxury car. Its international appeal has attracted buyers from more than 40 countries around the world in the last twelve months, including a number of emerging markets. In total, 796 cars were retailed, an increase over 2004 and a 15 year high for Rolls-Royce.

Rolls Royce extended wheelbase Phantom to make debut at Frankfurt

Rolls-Royce Motor Cars will show the extended wheelbase version of the Phantom for the first time in Germany at this year’s IAA show. The longer model will be complemented by two other Bespoke Phantoms with a range of new features.
