Ben’s Brother nominated for Ivor Novello Award
Jamie Hartman, singer/ songwriter with chart-storming London band Ben’s Brother, has been nominated for the ultimate songwriting accolade, the Ivor Novello Award for Best Song Musically & Lyrically.

BODY WORLDS 4 and the Museum of Science and Industry (MOSI) this week welcomed the 100,000th visitor to the exhibition. This achievement, less than eight weeks into the exhibition’s run, coincides with MOSI’s announcement that it has doubled its visitor numbers compared to the previous year.

Dickens Unplugged is a new musical comedy by American Adam Long. The show is an hilarious journey through the best of Dickens’ classic works and into the twisted corners of the author’s colourful life. Dickens Unplugged will open at the Comedy Theatre in London on Friday 23 May.

Celebrities walk the Great Wall of China
Gemma Atkinson will be joining Olivia Newton-John and a host of stars from the UK, America and Australia to take part in ‘The Great Walk to Beijing 2008’. Olivia Newton-John has been walking The Great Wall of China since the 7th April in an extreme 21 day trek to raise money for cancer, and change the way cancer is treated around the world. Gemma will meet Olivia and the rest of the team at Stage 4 on the 19th April.

Camden four piece The Bad Robots will only have to rock around the corner for their debut appearance in the 2008 Camden Crawl this Friday. Fresh off the bus from a whirlwind UK tour for Barfly in February, the boys have been working up a sweat across London with packed gigs at The Borderline (April 10) and The Water Rats (March 15).

Coldplay to release new album in June
Coldplay release their fourth album "Viva La Vida" or, to give it its full title, "Viva La Vida or Death And All His Friends" on Parlophone Records on June 16. The album comprises 10 brand new tracks, recorded in London, Barcelona and New York with producers Brian Eno and Markus Dravs.

Ben Shephard runs his first marathon
Whilst the London Marathon was underway, 130 runners took to the Island of Tresco to run the world’s smallest marathon to raise funds for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust. GMTV presenter Ben Shephard, who is a patron of the Cystic Fibrosis Trust, came in 31st with a fantastic finishing time of 3 hours and 47 minutes.

Kelly Osbourne nominated as Sony DAB Rising Star
Sony has announced the launch of the Sony DAB ‘Rising Star’ Award at the nominations for the 26th annual Sony Radio Academy Awards, the UK’s top radio honours.
