Westwood returns to London
Vivienne Westwood returns to London after an absence of almost a decade to show her A/W 2008 Red Label collection thanks to the invitation and support of the British Fashion Council. Carlo D'Amario, Managing Director of Vivienne Westwood explains: “I think there has recently been a definite shift in focus towards Europe with regards to the global business of prêt-a-porter distribution lines targeted at the younger market. We decided to show the Red Label in London as it perfectly represents the dynamic spirit of the city.”

London Fashion Week goes hi-tech with O2
O2 today announced the launch of the first ever fashion industry pilot of NFC (Near Field Communications) technology on mobile phones at this year’s London Fashion Week. A sun-bleached collection for Fairtrade Fortnight
Ethical retailer Bishopston Trading has launched an expanded Spring Collection using a palette of lilacs, mauves and greens. The inspiration for the new season’s colours comes from the sun bleached Mediterranean coast of south-west France, taking inspiration from the stone buildings, faded shutters, the abundance of flowers, olive trees and the deep blue green waters of the fishing ports.
