bmi has launched a pre-flight Lounge Dining service for Business Class customers flying on bmi’s evening flights to Moscow and Tel Aviv as of 1 July 2009.

bmi has extended its complimentary Chauffeur Drive service to include UK regional airports. The service is now available to and from Dublin, Belfast, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Aberdeen and Manchester airports in addition to London Heathrow.

BA staff opt for pay cuts

Nearly 7,000 British Airways staff have taken an early opportunity to apply for voluntary pay cuts in support of the airline's cost reduction programme. Of the 40,000-strong workforce, 6,940 employees had volunteered for unpaid leave, part-time working or unpaid work by June 24. Their actions will save the company up to £10 million.

11 new Ryanair routes take off at Bristol

Ryanair has announced that its June traffic increased by 13% to 5.8 million passengers, a new monthly record, smashing the 5.7 million passenger record set in August 2008. Ryanair also carried over 60 million passengers in the 12 months to the end of June – a new annual traffic record.
