Aer Arann carried almost 20,000 passengers over the May Bank Holiday, 15% ahead of the May Bank holiday weekend last year. Amsterdam, London and Edinburgh were the most popular citybreak destinations, and Faro and Malaga the most popular sun destinations.

Aer Arann introduces improved schedule for Cork-Dublin route

Aer Arann today launched a new improved schedule on the Cork-Dublin route. This new schedule is in response to passenger demand for an improved choice of timings in the morning. Aer Arann has reintroduced an 8am departure, flight number RE604, arriving in Dublin at 8.55am. Cork passengers can now choose from 7am and 8am departures for flights to Dublin.

Aer Lingus increases fuel surcharge on long haul routes

Aer Lingus is to increase its long haul fuel surcharge on routes to the US, effective from Wednesday, 14 May 2008. The increase is as a direct result of the record upsurge in the price of oil in recent weeks and the airline's rising fuel bill. No fuel surcharge is applied on any of the 82 short haul routes operated by Aer Lingus.

EL AL invests in four new Boeings
