On 30 April 2008, Air France’s 50th Boeing 777 joined the fleet. The aircraft, a 777-300ER registered F-GZNB, landed at Paris-Charles de Gaulle at 9:30, after taking off from Everett airport near Seattle the day before, which is the site of Boeing’s assembly line.

Forty years ago to the day, 24 "Red Caps" turned up for work at the launch in Frankfurt of Lufthansa’s special service for people in need of assistance. Their job is to help and host "mothers with small children, unaccompanied minors, elderly people and disabled passengers especially in the airport area," as a Lufthansa press release put it in 1968.

Canadian Affair commences first UK flight to New Brunswick

Canadian Affair, the UK’s largest tour operator to Canada, will next week commence the first ever direct service to Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada. The direct weekly service from London Gatwick, which commences on Tuesday 6th May, will give travellers greater access not only to New Brunswick, but also the three Atlantic Coast Provinces of Prince Edward Island, Newfoundland & Labrador, and Nova Scotia.
