Ryanair extends lowest price guarantee
Ryanair, Europe's largest low fares airline, announced yesterday that it is extending its Lowest Fare Guarantee until 30th June 2007. Only Ryanair guarantees the lowest fares on all routes.

Longhaul fuel surcharge increased
British Airways is to increase its longhaul fuel surcharge with effect from Wednesday June 13, 2007 as a result of further rises in the price of oil. The fuel surcharge on longhaul flights of less than nine hours will rise from £33 per sector (£66 return) to £38 (£76 return) and from £38 per sector to £43 (£86 return) on flights longer than nine hours.
Ryanair guarantees no fuel surcharges ever
Ryanair, Europe’s largest low fares airline, has criticised British Airways for increasing its fuel surcharge to £43 – its 9th increase since May 2004. Ryanair continues to guarantee no fuel surcharges ever.
SAS launches new routes to Spain
Three new routes to Spain will be launched in the autumn: Gothenburg-Barcelona, Gothenburg-Malaga and Stockholm-Barcelona. This means that during 2007 Scandinavian Airlines Sverige has expanded with the launch of 12 new international destinations from Sweden.

Aer Lingus to double long-haul fleet
Aer Lingus has announced a substantial expansion of its long haul fleet. The Airline has selected the new Airbus A350 XWB (extra wide body) and A330-300E (enhanced) aircraft to underpin its long haul growth strategy. This follows an extensive evaluation process and intensive negotiations and will allow the Airline to double its long haul fleet to fourteen Airbus aircraft by 2014.
