A free weekday lunchtime Picnic in the Park will be held in early July at a secret location in central London. As well as free picnic lunches for the first 2,000 people, a jazz band and giant garden games, there will be a 'sunshine zone' for sun worshippers and a 'chill-out zone' where you can kick back on a hay bale and flick through a selection of magazines.

Tesco Enjoy the Taste of Scotland Food Festival has been crowned Scotland’s largest food and drink festival after figures showed more than 21,000 people attended the event last weekend at George Square, Glasgow.

This year will mark the 10th anniversary of World Cocktail Day, a yearly celebration held every May 13th, at the Alcron Hotel’s Be Bop Bar and at Bugsy’s Bar in Prague. This international event was launched in 1999 through the initiative of the Radisson SAS Alcron’s Be Bop Bar and its Bar Manager, Alexander Miksovic, to commemorate the date the term “Cocktail” was first coined in 1806.

British Food Fortnight runs from 20th September to 5th October, and now in its seventh year, the event is the biggest national celebration of the diverse and delicious range of food that Britain produces. To mark the launch of the seventh British Food Fortnight, the organisers have produced a short film explaining why it is best to buy British food.
