Hard Rock International today announced that they are teaming up with real music station Absolute Radio to present monthly music nights at the legendary Hard Rock Cafe London.

On Monday 25 January, “Hard Rock Presents Absolute Radio Sessions” will see British indie rockers Editors take to the stage to kick off this brand new monthly event, which will be hosted by Absolute Radio DJ Geoff Lloyd. The gig will broadcast on Thursday 28 January on the Geoff Lloyd Hometime Show on Absolute Radio from 7pm to 8pm. The gig will also be filmed and will be available to watch along with an exclusive interview on absoluteradio.co.uk.

This continues Hard Rock’s commitment to hosting live music events – within the last few years the likes of Aerosmith, Stevie Wonder, The Charlatans and Fun Lovin’ Criminals have all performed intimate shows at Hard Rock Cafe London – as well as amplify Absolute Radio’s commitment to delivering the best live music to its listeners.

National station Absolute Radio is all about live music – the station has broadcasted live from the Isle of Wight Festival, Hard Rock Calling, V Festival and has had more than 100 sessions in the Absolute Radio studios from the likes of Chris Martin, Kasabian and Lily Allen. For the station’s first birthday Breakfast Show DJ Christian O’Connell hosted a traffic stopping gig on Regent Street to thousands of Absolute Radio listeners creating a real moment in music history.

“This series of sessions are going to be the hottest tickets in town. It’s a rare opportunity to catch one of the country’s biggest acts up close in such an intimate venue – and the only way to get your hand on a ticket is to listen to Absolute Radio” said Geoff Lloyd, Absolute Radio DJ.

Editors recently released their third album In This Light And On This Evening, firmly establishing the Birmingham four-piece as one of the biggest acts of the new millennium. The album went to Number One in the UK with Top Ten positions across Germany, Holland and Belgium and selling out concerts across Europe for their May 2010 tour.

Tickets for Hard Rock Presents Absolute Radio Sessions can only be won by tuning into Absolute Radio or logging on to absoluteradio.co.uk.
