Andy Priaulx wins WTCC title…again!
Andy Priaulx retained the 2006 FIA World Touring Car Championship title in a tight, nail-biting finale to the series round the tortuous street circuit of Macau in mainland China. The BMW Team UK driver won race one and came fifth in race two to emerge ahead of the other eight title aspirants, beating fellow BMW 320si driver, Joerg Muller, by just one point.
Record car sales predicted
BMW (UK) Ltd is set to achieve record BMW new car sales in 2006. Having broken through the 100,000 barrier in November, BMW is anticipating an increase of 3 per cent over 2005’s record year of 111,666 sales, in a market expected to be down by almost 4 per cent.

Record BMW used car sales
BMW is set to achieve record used car sales through its dealer network in 2006. Over 80,322 BMW Approved Used Cars and MINI Cherished vehicle sales had been recorded by the end of October. This shows a year-to-date increase of 13.5 per cent compared to the same period as last year’s record year.

The new BMW ALPINA D3 Diesel Saloon
The BMW ALPINA D3 saloon takes the unique collaboration between the two companies into a new market segment. Built alongside the BMW 320d, the D3 derivative raises the bar for 2.0 litre diesel power and performance, with 100hp per litre on tap, and a top speed of 145mph. Yet the car has one of the lowest CO2 figures in the entire BMW range and offers nearly 50mpg on the combined cycle.
