airBaltic purchases SAS airline shares
The management of Latvia’s national airline, airBaltic, concluded a transaction on January 29, in the course of which it purchased the 47.2% of shares in the airline that were owned by SAS AB. The sum paid for the shares was LVL 14 million.

bmibaby is transforming its onboard service, by trialling a new detox zone onboard its aircraft. To help passengers unwind, bmibaby will introduce a new dedicated detox zone on selected flights, offering free massages and life coaching. The bmibaby detox zone will include onboard masseuses who will offer hand and head massages to de-stress passengers.

bmi announces schedule for Heathrow-Kiev route

BA pledge to cut net CO2 by 50 per cent by 2050
British Airways has unveiled a radical new environmental target of halving net CO2 emissions by 2050. The target, the most ambitious set by any airline, means that British Airways will reduce its net carbon output from 16 million tonnes in 2005 to eight million by mid-century.
