Sama Airlines signs agreement with Safi Airways
Sama Airlines, the newest low-fares airline in Saudi Arabia, announced a commercial agreement has been signed between Sama and Safi Airways, to provide more choices for travel to the customers of both airlines. Aer Lingus announces new Chairman
The Board of Directors of Aer Lingus Group plc today wishes to announce the appointment of Colm Barrington as Chairman of the Board. Mr Barrington will succeed John Sharman as Chairman. He will be appointed to the board in September and will then assume the role of Chairman.
Air France reports incident at Montreal Trudeau
Air France confirms that one of its Boeing 747-400 arriving from Paris had an incident at Montreal-Trudeau yesterday afternoon. After its landing, it came to a standstill with its nose wheel slightly outside the runway. The aircraft had left Paris-CDG at 4:56 pm (Paris time) and landed in Montreal at 5:44 pm, local time.

Lufthansa named best airline in Europe
Lufthansa has been voted the best airline in Europe in the 2008 World Airline Awards, beating 59 other carriers. More than 15 million passengers took part in the survey, conducted by the UK-based aviation research agency Skytrax over an eleven-month period from August 2007 to June 2008.
