SWISS names Airbus ‘Locarno’ during town’s film festival
A SWISS aircraft now bears the name ‘Locarno’. The plane – Airbus A320 HB-IJQ – was symbolically named at a ceremony held in the town during this year’s International Film Festival. The naming was performed by town mayor Carla Speziali, in the presence of festival president Marco Solari, SWISS CEO Christoph Franz, numerous invitees and media representatives.
Austrian – First Class for Business Class
For the second successive year Austrian long-haul Business Class catering has been voted into first place in the international Skytrax Awards. The annual Skytrax survey among more than 15 million air passengers from 95 countries has again voted Austrians long-haul, Business Class catering service into first place. This represents real achievement as it confirms that the standards recognised in the 2007 survey have yet to be matched by other carriers.
Skyscanner unaffected by Ryanair comparison site cancellations
Following Ryanair’s announcement that they are to start cancelling flight bookings which have been made on so called “screen scraper” sites from August 11th, Skyscanner has issued a statement to clarify that this will not affect any Ryanair flight bookings that have been found through Skyscanner.
