Ryanair cancels all flights to Arad Airport in Romania
Ryanair has announced the cancellation of all flights to Arad Airport in Romania from the 31st July. Ryanair started flying to Arad from Bergamo in Italy 3 times weekly in April 2008 and had intended to carry 50,000 passengers in the first year of operations to the Arad region. All plans for additional flights to Arad have now been cancelled and Ryanair will replace the Arad service with a 3 times weekly service from Bergamo to Berlin-Schönefeld.
Ryanair announces new routes from East Midlands Airport
Ryanair has announced that it will launch three new routes - to Faro, Fuerteventura and Prague - from East Midlands at the end of October this year. This latest expansion brings Ryanair's East Midlands base to thirty-eight routes. Passengers can now access a wide variety of European destinations from East Midlands such as Belfast, Shannon, Nantes, Nimes, Malaga, Milan and many more.
Ryanair launches new routes from Liverpool
Ryanair has announced that it will launch four new routes from Liverpool - to Gdansk, Scezecin, Knock and Faro - at the end of October this year. This latest expansion brings the number of routes at Ryanair's Liverpool base to forty-five. Passengers can now access a wide variety of European destinations from Liverpool such as Derry, Madrid, Pisa and Nimes.
Ryanair launches new Flight Tracker service
Ryanair has launched a new Flight Tracker service with Sentient Solutions, which will deliver flight information directly to UK and Irish mobiles. By calling or texting Flight Tracker, anyone awaiting a Ryanair passenger can now receive up to date information on the status of any Ryanair flight to/ from the UK and Ireland as well as regular flight status updates for just £1.50/ €2.

Ryanair starts new base and announces 9 new routes
Ryanair yesterday (17 June) started its twenty-fifth base in Birmingham. Ryanair also announced today that it will launch nine new routes - to Alicante, Derry, Fuerteventura, Katowice, Kaunas, Krakow, Palma, Malaga and Murcia - in October 2008.

Air France increases fuel surcharge
Due to the high level of fuel prices, Air France is increasing its fuel surcharge by 2 euros per segment on domestic flights, by 5 euros per segment on medium-haul flights, by 10 euros per segment on long-haul flights and by 20 euros per segment on very long-haul flights. This increase is valid on tickets for trips from France, issued as from 13 June 2008.
Austrian to adjust fuel surcharges
Due to the high kerosene purchase price, the Austrian Airlines Group is increasing its fuel surcharge for short- and medium-haul flights from the current level of EUR 21 to EUR 24. Fuel surcharges on long-haul routes are also increased, from EUR 82 to EUR 92.
Delta to entertain more customers this summer
Delta Air Lines this summer will offer customers hundreds of hours of movies, HBO, TV programming, music and video games through the world-class Delta on Demand available on more than 70,000 seats daily. The flight complements Delta’s existing nonstop service to Antigua and Barbuda from Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport.
