Virgin Atlantic has announced that it has teamed up with I Love New York (New York State Division of Tourism) to offer wine tasting in its flagship Clubhouse at Heathrow Terminal 3 this summer. During July and August, the airline’s Upper Class passengers will be able to sample six wines from New York State’s wine regions, including The Finger Lakes, Long Island, Niagara Escarpment and the Hudson Valley.

Armed with a camcorder, her passport and a map of Europe, jewellery importer, Adele Guillen, will be racking up the miles having been unveiled as the winner of a Jet2holidays.com search for a travel reporter. After sifting through reels of video footage that Alan Whicker or Judith Chalmers would be proud of, the judges selected Adele’s entry and she will now spend the next twelve months producing as many as 18 video travel reports from destinations such as sunny Majorca and winter favourite Sharm el Sheikh.

airBaltic introduces web check-in for Copenhagen, Oslo and Stockholm

As of June 18, the Latvian airline airBaltic is pleased to offer its clients a chance to check in via the Internet also for flights departing from Copenhagen, Oslo and Stockholm. This is already possible for airBaltic flights departing from Riga, Vilnius, Vienna, Zurich, Bergen and Stavanger.

airBaltic announces co-operation with Eurolines Baltic

airBaltic and Eurolines Baltic have concluded a sales co-operation agreement to offer an expanded network of routes to their passengers. The two companies will offer each other’s services to clients. Air France announces commitment to the environment

In an aim to combat climate change and considering that the destruction of forests accounts for some 20% of CO2 manmade emissions, Air France finances a GoodPlanet-run project to fight against deforestation in Madagascar. The project is implemented locally by WWF-Madagascar.
