Brussels Airlines starts new service to Ljubljana

Starting 19 November, Brussels Airlines will offer a new direct service between the European Capital and Slovenia. Flying to and from Ljubljana Brussels Airlines will link the two capitals 6 times a week. In this way Brussels Airlines opens the welcome to Slovenia’s EU presidency starting in January 2008.

TAP offers check-in online from Luanda

The check-in online option is now offered by TAP on flights from Luanda for passengers with electronic tickets, and can be performed between 24 and 5 hours prior to flight departure time. Passengers using check-in online should hand in their baggage at the Executive Class desk up to 90 minutes before departure.

TAP extends online check-in to Stockholm & Copenhagen

United Airlines secures new San Francisco to China route

The U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) awarded a new direct route to China to United Airlines, making it the first U.S. carrier to offer daily, nonstop service between San Francisco and Guangzhou. After reviewing United’s proposal that demonstrated passenger demand and nationwide economic benefit, DOT selected United's proposed route after several weeks of deliberation.

Willkomen to Frankfurt on United Airlines

United Airlines today announced that it will offer new daily passenger and cargo service* between Los Angeles and Frankfurt. United will begin service to Frankfurt on December 15, 2007 and service from Frankfurt on December 16, 2007. Flights are open for sale now.

Green light for aircraft orders

British Airways has placed an order for 12 Airbus A380 and 24 Boeing 787 aircraft with options for a further seven Airbus A380s and18 Boeing 787s. Both aircraft types will be powered by Rolls-Royce engines. The new aircraft will replace 34 of the airline's longhaul fleet and will be delivered between 2010 and 2014.
