Copa Airlines Orders Four New Boeing Aircraft
Copa Airlines, a subsidiary of Copa Holdings S.A., and the Boeing Company announced yesterday that the airline has ordered four Boeing 737-800s for delivery in 2011 and 2012. The order continues Copa Airlines’ fleet expansion program and increases its outstanding Boeing 737 Next-Generation orders from six to 10, plus options for additional deliveries.

National carrier Solomon Airlines has introduced its new 75-seater E-Jet on May 1st to service its international routes. SWISS aircraft “Luzern” takes off for Tokyo
A SWISS Airbus A340 with registration HB-JMG was today named “Luzern” as part of the 50th anniversary of air transport service between Switzerland and Japan. Lucerne mayor Urs W. Studer performed the naming ceremony, which was also attended by Lucerne Tourism director Marcel Perren and SWISS CEO Christoph Franz. The newly named aircraft took off for Tokyo at 13:00.
Aer Lingus announces partnership with Special Olympics Ireland
Aer Lingus has announced that it has entered into a Partnership with Special Olympics Ireland for the 2007 Special Olympics World Summer Games. Aer Lingus as Official Airline will provide return flights for Team Ireland and TEAM 2007, transporting the 143 athletes, 55 coaches and 200 volunteers on board an Airbus A321 from Dublin to London Heathrow airport on 27th and 29th September and welcoming the team aboard on their return journey on 12th and 13th October from London Heathrow to Dublin airport.
