East Anglia’s first Volvo FE enters service with D E Downham
The first Volvo FE in East Anglia has gone into service with timber distribution company D E Downham of Wisbech. The Euro 4 compliant 4x2 rigid curtainsider joins the company’s fleet of 10 trucks and continues their transition from used to new vehicles, following a Volvo FL which joined the fleet some 18 months ago. Volvo Trucks deliveries in January and February 2007 totalled just over 15,000 vehicles, an increase of five percent compared with the same period last year. It is above all the strong delivery figures in Europe that have contributed to this increase.

More deliveries for Volvo Trucks in January
The demand for heavy trucks remained strong on several Volvo Trucks markets. All told, 7,786 trucks (5975) were delivered in January, an increase of 30 per cent compared with the same period last year. In Eastern Europe, the number of deliveries increased by 144 per cent, totalling 877 vehicles (360).
