Persimmon to commemorate war heroes
Leading house builder Persimmon Homes has launched a search to find the families of those remembered on Aylesbury’s Cross of Sacrifice war memorial. Working in conjunction with Aylesbury Vale District Council, the developer has selected the surnames of four servicemen from the memorial, which honours those who perished during World War One and World War Two, to be used as street names for its new The Green residential development in Stoke Mandeville.
