Barratt has received planning consent to build 160 new homes in a wonderfully picturesque setting in Bocking village, just outside the market town of Braintree. Work has already begun to create the homes at ‘Bocking Mill’, which will comprise a variety of homes ranging in size from two-bedroom apartments and terraced houses up to substantial six-bedroom detached houses.

Persimmon Homes expands operation
Persimmon Homes Anglia, based in Lowestoft, has promoted Andy Fuller to deputy managing director to drive the business forward. Andy (37) has been promoted to the position after four years as the company’s construction director. Andy started his career with Persimmon as a civil engineering apprentice at the tender age of 16.
