Teachers, children and parents at Epworth Thurlow Playgroup were delighted after receiving a £500 donation from housebuilders Gladedale South Yorkshire. Shelly Warriner, sales executive for Gladedale South Yorkshire's Windmill View in Epworth, went along to the Epworth Thurlow Playgroup where the cheque was handed over.
Teachers give top marks to Barratt school conversion
Two former teachers and a pupil have awarded top marks to Barratt York for the redevelopment of Bridlington Lower School into new homes. Head teacher John Hilditch, science teacher John Blythe and Jean Peacock, a pupil at the school between 1951 and 1956, visited the newly refurbished Old Masters House at Barratt's Bayside development on St Johns Street.
