Air Astana to fly non-stop from Almaty to Baku

Air Astana is to introduce a new non-stop service between Almaty and Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan. From 29th March the new service will operate twice a week on Wednesdays and Sundays. The flight time is 3 hours 45 minutes.

After a series of independent service delivery audits by the globally-recognised Airline Star Rating Programme, Skytrax Research, Air Astana has announced that it has achieved an overall rating of 3-Stars, with its short haul Business Class being rated as 4-Star.

Air France tests out ‘smartboarding’ system

Starting on Tuesday, 17 March and up to the end of 2009, Air France will be asking those Flying Blue customers who travel most frequently from Paris to Amsterdam to test the new automated boarding system, smartboarding.

airBaltic to launch direct flights to Dushanbe

On June 1st of this year, the Latvian airline airBaltic will launch direct flights from Riga to the capital city of Tajikistan, Dushanbe. airBaltic is the only EU airline to fly to Dushanbe.

bmi rolls out Chauffeur Drive on key business routes

easyJet announces new charity partner

easyJet has chosen the Alzheimer’s Society as its charity partner for 2009, following a vote amongst its 7,000 members of staff from across Europe. The partnership will raise money to support people with dementia and their carers.
