Lufthansa named number one for punctuality at Heathrow

Lufthansa is officially the most reliable airline operating from London Heathrow Airport following the publication of Punctuality Statistics for 2007. The figures for the 30 largest scheduled airlines serving Heathrow show that the average delay on Lufthansa’s 20,810 flights during the year on was just 12.22 minutes. This is more than seven minutes less than the average delay at the airport.

Aer Lingus partners with United Airlines

Aer Lingus and United Airlines, a leading US domestic and international airline, have today announced that they will commence a codeshare agreement that will enable seamless booking on each other's flights from 1 November, 2008. The agreement was signed by Aer Lingus CEO Dermot Mannion and United Airlines CEO Glenn Tilton in Chicago.

airBaltic launches direct flights to Venice and Nice

TAP increases cabin baggage allowances from Gatwick

With immediate effect, TAP Portugal customers travelling from Gatwick will be able to carry more than one bag through security for cabin baggage purposes. The UK government restriction limiting customers to one item of cabin baggage was lifted at all other BAA airports (including Heathrow) in January 2008, as well as the Gatwick Airport transfer security areas in February 2008.
