TAP & Ukraine increase code-share operations
TAP Portugal and Ukraine International have increased their mutual cooperation by extending code-share use in force since 2002 on flights between Kiev and Lisbon to new destinations. Customers are therefore now offered from November 27 more flights between Portugal and the Ukraine as well as access to a wider range of destinations in each of the two countries.

Munich will be Lufthansa’s “football hub” for 2008
With only 186 days to go until the kick-off of the 2008 European Football Championship in Austria and Switzerland, Lufthansa has good news for all soccer fans. It will be the only European airline to fly to all the EURO 2008 venues. A total of 31 European Cup games will be played in Vienna, Salzburg, Innsbruck, Klagenfurt, Basle, Zurich, Berne and Geneva between 7 and 29 June 2008.

Ryanair has announced that its Girls of Ryanair 2008 cabin crew calendar has been flying off the shelves. All proceeds go to the Angels Quest charity, which provides respite care for children with special needs and so far 7,000 out of 10,000 copies have sold.

SWISS Airbus A320 HB-IJM was formally named “Richterswil” at Zurich Airport at lunchtime today. The aircraft is also SWISS’s ‘Flying Fanclub’, decked out in a special supporters’ livery for the run-up to the European soccer championships next year.

British Airways partnered with the famous comedienne Caroline Reid, playing spoof air stewardess Pam Ann for a hilarious viral marketing campaign which launched on October 11.
