Ancient gold chalice recovered off Key West
Experts began studying and conserving a gold chalice Wednesday, believed to be more than 385 years old, that was recovered Tuesday from Key West waters during the search for a 17th-century shipwrecked Spanish galleon. The ornate two-handled chalice is adorned with etched scrollwork on the upper portion, and salvors estimated its value at one million dollars or more.
Brittany’s alternative to Glastonbury
The 17th edition of the Les Vieilles Charrues outdoors music festival will take place in Carhaix, at the heart of beautiful Brittany from 17 to 20 July 2008. The festival now entertains over 180,000 music lovers and features over 80 bands over the four days. Set in a natural amphitheatre in Carhaix, near Brest, it is an exciting showcase of international talent, including both established and up and coming artists.

Exciting line-up for Glasgow River Festival
The Glasgow River Festival returns over the Glasgow Holiday Weekend on the 19th and 20th July 2008 with a revamped and action packed programme of events and activities for all ages, on land and on water.
