airBaltic to open Tallinn office

The Latvian national airline airBaltic will open an office in the Estonian capital city of Tallinn this month, which will be an important step in expanding the company’s operations in that country. Outside Latvia at this time the airline has offices in Berlin, Kyiv, Minsk, Moscow, St Petersburg, Klaipeda and Vilnius.

airBaltic passenger numbers reach 2 million

For the first time in its history, the Latvian airline airBaltic has carried two million passengers in ten months. Last year airBaltic reached its two millionth passenger in December.

airBaltic to four new destinations this winter

The Latvian airline airBaltic will launch its winter timetable on October 26, 2008, offering four new destinations and increased numbers of flights along nine routes. The timetable will remain in effect until March 28, 2009. During the course of the winter, airBaltic will offer 49 routes from Riga and 14 from Vilnius.

airBaltic discontinues flights from Liepaja during winter

The Latvian airline airBaltic will discontinue flights from Liepaja to Hamburg, Copenhagen and Riga during winter season. The airline plans to resume the flights during next year’s summer season. The airline’s decision is due to seasonal decrease in passenger flow characteristic of winter.

airBaltic to launch direct flights from Riga to Hannover

On December 15 of this year, airBaltic will launch direct flights from Riga to Hannover, Germany. Flights to Hannover will be offered five times a week, on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. Passengers will fly on Fokker 50 airplanes, and the flight will last for 2 hours and 55 minutes.

airBaltic introduces internet check-in for Liepaja flights

As of now, the Latvian airline airBaltic will allow people who take flights from Liepaja to check in via the Internet. Previously this had only been possible for airBaltic flights departing from Riga, Ventspils, Vilnius, Vienna, Zurich, Bergen, Stavanger, Copenhagen, Stockholm and Oslo.

airBaltic to launch direct lights from Riga to Amsterdam

On October 26 of this year, airBaltic will begin direct flights from Riga to the Dutch capital city of Amsterdam. airBaltic will fly to Amsterdam every day. The flight will be offered on a Boeing 737-500 airplane and will last 2 hours and 20 minutes.

airBaltic partners with Brussels Airlines to offer flights to Africa

As of yesterday, airline passengers in Latvia have a wider choice of destinations in Africa and Europe, because a code-share agreement between airBaltic and Brussels Airlines which takes effect from this week.

airBaltic to launch direct flights from Riga to Dubai

On October 24 of this year, airBaltic will begin direct flights from Riga to Dubai in the United Arab Emirates. airBaltic will fly to Dubai twice a week, on Mondays and Fridays. The flight will be offered on a Boeing 757-200 airplane and will last 6 hours and 15 minutes. One-way tickets will start at LVL 139, including airport fees and transaction costs.

1 million passengers carried this year by airBaltic

The number of passengers carried by Latvian airline airBaltic in 2008 reached one million this June. For the first time in its history, the airline has carried a million passengers in six months. Last year airBaltic registered its millionth passenger in July, in 2006 – in September, in 2005 – in December.

airBaltic launches direct flights from Riga to Tampere

airBaltic launches direct flights from Riga to Tampere, Finland, on October 1 of this year. This will be already the fourth destination served by airBaltic in Finland.

airBaltic introduces web check-in for Copenhagen, Oslo and Stockholm

As of June 18, the Latvian airline airBaltic is pleased to offer its clients a chance to check in via the Internet also for flights departing from Copenhagen, Oslo and Stockholm. This is already possible for airBaltic flights departing from Riga, Vilnius, Vienna, Zurich, Bergen and Stavanger.

airBaltic announces co-operation with Eurolines Baltic

airBaltic and Eurolines Baltic have concluded a sales co-operation agreement to offer an expanded network of routes to their passengers. The two companies will offer each other’s services to clients. This cooperation will improve the offer that is made to passengers, because a greater number of destinations will become available for people who wish to combine a flight with a bus trip or to reach locations to which airBaltic does not fly to directly.

airBaltic to launch direct flights to Sochi

The Latvian airline airBaltic will launch direct flights from R?ga to the Russian resort town of Sochi on June 18 of this year. Initially flights will be offered twice a week – on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
