SAS finalizes pilot agreement
On April 1, 2008, SAS and the Danish Pilots' Association (DPF), the Norwegian SAS Pilots' Association (NSF) and the Swedish Pilots' Association (SPF) signed a two-year collective agreement on salaries and general terms of service. The agreement period is April 1, 2007, through March 31, 2009. SAS now has multiyear agreements with all 39 trade union organizations in the Group.
TAP begins direct flights from Madeira to Madrid
With the IATA Summer period now approaching TAP is consolidating its investments for the coming months as already announced in January in the BTL. The aim is to improve the service offered to customers implemented in connections to Madeira by means of an increased number of flights and the creation of a new direct destination.
TAP at Heathrow Terminal 1 from November
Within the context of the Star Alliance project “Move under one Roof”, TAP should begin operating as of November from Terminal 1 at Heathrow Airport in London. Implementation of this project which aims to offer alliance passengers greater ease and more commodity through the use of common spaces at leading airports will take place in a series of phases. The first begins in April and conclusion is scheduled for 2012.
United Airlines to help Aloha Airlines customers
United Airlines is prepared to assist and accommodate customers who are affected by the termination of Aloha Airlines service. For customers who are flying on a United ticket, United will rebook them on an alternate flight where space is available, for no additional charge. For customers traveling on an Aloha ticket, United is offering discounted one-way fares through the end of April that will make it easier for them to return home.
