First Euro 4 FM’s for Marks & Spencer
Marks & Spencer is one of the first major UK companies to place an order for the latest generation Volvo FM’s with Euro 4 emissions compliant engines featuring SCR technology. The order is for 50 Euro 4 FM-400 4x2 Globetrotter-cabbed tractor units, which will be operated by Gist on behalf of Marks & Spencer and will be in the retailer’s own livery. All were supplied by Volvo Truck and Bus Centre Midlands and have been specified with Volvo’s I-Shift driver-friendly transmission. They will be based at RDCs at Thatcham and Bristol and they will be engaged on store deliveries, supplier collection and trunking.

The Environmental Services Department at United Utilities have added their first Volvo truck - an FH12, 8x4, fitted with a ‘DISAB’ Centurion LN 200 high tip vacuum unit - to their fleet of over 80 vehicles.

New Dynafleet Online features WTD reporting package
Volvo’s Dynafleet Online (DFOL) continues to grow from strength to strength as more customers come to appreciate it as a highly effective means of managing and reducing their operating costs. There are now over 1,400 DFOL subscriptions and around 18% of new trucks are being ordered with Volvo Transport Information Systems (TIS) capability. Last year, in the UK and Ireland alone, 1,240 were fitted with Dynafleet.
