Kerry Logistics (UK) Ltd has taken delivery of two Iveco Stralis AS440S48TX/P tractor units after trialling a demonstrator on the fleet for six weeks.
Volvo Trucks inaugurates factory in South Africa
Volvo Trucks is today inaugurating its new factory in Durban, South Africa, which will assemble trucks intended primarily for the growing South African market, in an initial investment of approximately 42 million Swedish kronor (£ 3.06m).
Volvo Truck deliveries
Deliveries from Volvo Trucks decreased by 3 per cent between January and July. In total, 60,068 trucks were delivered compared to 62,141 in the same period last year. The reduction relates mainly to lower delivery volumes to Iran. Excluding this market, deliveries increased by eleven per cent.

The family-owned company has operated Volvo’s since 1988 and currently has 6 new-generation FH’s all hauling a variety of high-quality, locally produced food products, many of which are destined for deli-counters.

Grantley Sawmill’s 21 year old timber treasure
Grantley Sawmills near Ripon, Yorkshire, are still operating a 21-year old Volvo FL7 which the company bought new from local Dealer Crossroads Commercials in 1986. The long-wheelbase 8x4, chassis number 8000096, was one of the first FL-cabbed trucks to go into service in the UK and has spent its entire working life hauling timber.
