Arthur Miller classic to open at Duke of York’s Theatre
Acknowledged as one of the great classics of the twentieth century, Arthur Miller’s play A View from the Bridge, opens at the Duke of York’s Theatre for a limited season from 22 January 2009 with the press night on 5 February. This electrifying and deeply moving play proved to be a milestone in American theatrical history. It will be rediscovered in a new production starring Ken Stott and Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio and directed by Lindsay Posner.
The Old Vic announces new productions
The Old Vic has announced a new line up of productions through to the end of Spring 2009 that will begin in January with a new play, Complicit, directed in-the-round by Kevin Spacey. Following the hugely successful The Norman Conquests, which run through to late December 2008, the new programme brings further diversity and originality to one of London’s oldest theatres.
