On Thursday 30th July, Covent Garden will showcase a live food auction in collaboration with guerrilla cooking collective Too Many Cooks. Chefs from top UK restaurants will prepare an array of the finest dishes from around the world – all with a starting bid of a mere 50p.

Secret picnic in the park for London workers
A free weekday lunchtime Picnic in the Park will be held in early July at a secret location in central London. As well as free picnic lunches for the first 2,000 people, a jazz band and giant garden games, there will be a 'sunshine zone' for sun worshippers and a 'chill-out zone' where you can kick back on a hay bale and flick through a selection of magazines.
