Pizza Hut changes its name
For the first time in the company’s 50 year history, Pizza Hut is changing its name. Pizza Hut has changed a lot over the past few years – with huge investment in its restaurants, significant nutritional changes and the launch of a delicious range of 12 Tuscani pastas. To mark the dawn of a new era for the company and because it is so confident in its new menu, Pizza Hut has decided to change its name to Pasta Hut.

Artisan du chocolat is set to launch their second and long awaited shop on 10th November, a luxury concession at Selfridges on Oxford Street situated on the ground floor in the confectionery hall.

To commemorate Pizza Hut’s name change to ‘Pasta Hut’, food artist Prudence Emma Staite has put ‘penne to paper’ and created a modern twist on another Italian classic by reproducing ‘The Mona Lisagne.’ From October 7th, one of the world’s most well known and loved brands undergoes a change of identity. After 50 years as the nation’s leading pizza restaurant, Pizza Hut is renaming itself Pasta Hut.
French brasserie set to makes it mark on Spitalfields Market
Le Bouchon Breton will open on Wednesday 8th of October 2008 in Spitalfields Market. Breton, an impressive French brasserie, champagne and shellfish bar is the brainchild of restaurateur and ex money broker Ian Stoppani and culinary heavyweight Michel Roux Jr. Nicolas Laridan who has spent the last seven years as Head Chef at Le Gavroche is running the kitchen of Breton, with Francois Bertrand, Le Gavroche’s beloved ex sommelier, brought in to tackle both the extensive wine list of over 700 bins and the 40 cover Champagne bar, Bertrand is also the Restaurant Manager.

The Granville @ Barford is once again celebrating after winning another prestigious food & drink award. The Granville won "Most Distinctive Local Menu" in the Warwickshire Life Food & Drink Awards 2008, which celebrate Warwickshire’s best producers, suppliers and restaurants.
