Following the success of the airline’s Upper Class Wing and private security channel at Heathrow Terminal 3, Virgin Atlantic has introduced a new 40-minute minimum check in time for its Upper Class passengers offering them the fastest journey through an airport in the UK – quicker than T5. This means Virgin Atlantic’s Upper Class passengers can now arrive at the airport and check in 40 minutes before the flight departs, pass through the airline’s private security corridor and go straight to the gate in time for their flight.

TAP increases flights to Oslo

TAP is increasing its flights to Oslo by launching an extra two flights a week between Lisbon and the Norwegian capital, a leg that already currently runs one flight a day. These two new flights will start up in the beginning of January 2009 and will run on Fridays and Saturdays departing Lisbon at 11:25pm and arriving in Oslo at 4:25am (Flight TP508). Flights leave the Norwegian capital on Saturdays and Sundays at 5:10am and land in Lisbon at 8:20am (Flight TP509).

From October 27, TAP begins flights to Morocco. Flights will run on daily basis between Lisbon and Casablanca except on Sundays in a total of six flights a week. United Airlines increases fee to check a second bag

In a challenging economic environment where fuel prices continue to be volatile and are more than 50 percent higher than last year, United is increasing the service fee to check a second bag on a domestic flight from $25 to $50 one way. These changes apply to customers who purchase a ticket on or after September 16, 2008, for travel within the U.S. and to/from Canada, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands on or after November 10, 2008.
