Saki launches London’s first Shojin Kaiseki tasting menu
Saki Bar and Food Emporium, the contemporary and authentic Japanese restaurant in Smithfield will launch London’s first Shojin Kaiseki menu on 19th May. Shojin Kaiseki is an integral part of Japanese cuisine that features strictly vegetarian Ingredients in its many refined dishes, all of which are steeped in tradition and history, dating back to the introduction of Buddhism in Japan back in the 6th Century.
Chef opens England’s highest restaurant
A restaurant will open for business on top of one of England’s highest mountains on Wednesday 14th May. Local celebrity chef Peter Sidwell will be serving three course lunches on top of Skiddaw in the Lake District on Wednesday 14th and Thursday 15th of May as part of the Cumberland Ale Keswick Mountain Festival.

Its World Cocktail Day at the Alcron
This year will mark the 10th anniversary of World Cocktail Day, a yearly celebration held every May 13th, at the Alcron Hotel’s Be Bop Bar and at Bugsy’s Bar in Prague. This international event was launched in 1999 through the initiative of the Radisson SAS Alcron’s Be Bop Bar and its Bar Manager, Alexander Miksovic, to commemorate the date the term “Cocktail” was first coined in 1806.
